【展示のお知らせ】
新潟にある「新潟絵屋」さんにて、二年ぶりに個展を行わせていただきます。
前回の展示ではコロナ禍で在廊できなかったため、今回は久々の新潟滞在になります。
お近くの方は、是非ご高覧頂けますと幸いです。
以下、新潟絵屋の大倉宏さんにコメントをいただきました。

光は闇を、闇は光をいつも含んでいる。かかえている。
ずいぶん暗くなってきた、あるいは暮れてきた感じの七里知子の近作を見てそう感じる。
19世紀末のヨーロッパの絵にあった蠱惑的な幻視感を思い出させる画面だ。
光がおのれを掘り込み探りあてた瑞々しい闇が、光の濡れた手に掬われてあるようだ。
詩的な19世紀末絵画に並走していたのが、散文的な印象派（光の絵）だったことを思い出す。
明度を下げながら、七里の絵も、より深く詩を呼吸し始めている。（企画者：大倉宏）
Tomoko Shichiri Solo Exhibition “Scooping Light”
Light always contains darkness, and darkness always contains light. They embrace each other. I feel this way when I look at Tomoko Shichiri’s recent works, which seem to be getting darker or glowing darkly. The paintings remind me of the alluring illusionism of European paintings of the late 19th century. It is as if a fresh darkness, into which the light has dug into and explored, has been scooped up by the wet hand of the light. It recalls to me the prose-like impressionism (painting of light) that ran parallel to the poetic paintings of the late 19th century. While reducing the brightness, Shichiri’s paintings, too, are beginning to breathe poetry more deeply. (Exhibition Planner: Hiroshi Okura)
